Can teak park chairs and benches be used outdoors?▾
The linked chairs and benches are described for outdoor use. Grade A teak heartwood contains natural oils valued for resistance to water and decay. Follow the selected design’s placement or installation guidance; a porch swing is a different setup from a freestanding bench. Let the teak dry before stacking or folding it for storage.
Will outdoor teak seating turn gray?▾
Outdoor teak can gradually develop a silver-gray patina. This natural color change is not a defect. To refresh the golden tone if you prefer, clean the wooden surfaces gently with mild soap and water, working with the grain. Let the teak dry completely, then lightly use fine 220-grit sandpaper only if needed.
How do I care for teak park seating?▾
Clean dining spills or outdoor surface dirt only when needed. Use mild soap and water with a soft cloth or soft-bristle brush on the wooden seat, back, arms and frame; remove soap residue and let the teak dry. Allow stackable and folding pieces to dry before storing them. We do not recommend applying oils, coatings or any finishing products. The wood’s naturally occurring oils contribute to water and decay resistance without a routine oiling schedule.
