Choose Manhattan seating around the way you use a table, bar or patio. Folding dining chairs, armchairs, raised bar seating and recliners offer different layouts. Grade A teak heartwood brings natural oils valued for water and decay resistance, with the warm grain left without an added oil finish. See our 5-Year Limited Warranty and full terms.
Dining chairs: compare the Manhattan folding chair with the folding armchair. Allow room for the arms beneath your table and for pulling a chair out. See the folding-chair guide for more choices.
Raised seating: compare the Manhattan bar chair and bar armchair. Use the bar-seating guide and confirm seat-to-counter clearance; overall back height is a different measurement from seat height.
A reclining chair: the Manhattan recliner has a broad curved wooden back and arms. Compare reclining designs with room for the chair’s in-use position and walking space around it.
Quick answers for choosing and caring for Manhattan teak seating.
Choose dining seating, bar seating or a recliner first. Then compare arms, the full footprint and whether the design folds. For a bar chair, confirm the seat height and clearance beneath your counter; ask ARB Teak if a needed measurement is not listed. A product’s overall height does not establish its seat height.
The Manhattan teak models are intended for indoor or outdoor use as specified on each product page. Natural oils contribute to water and decay resistance in the wood. Let wet furniture dry before folding or storage, and use ventilation when covering it for longer periods.
Untreated teak outdoors can gradually develop a normal silver-gray patina. Color change alone does not establish the condition of the furniture. To refresh its golden tone, clean with warm water and mild dish soap, brush gently with the grain, rinse and dry completely. Light sanding with fine 220-grit paper may help a rough surface; see the teak-care guidance for further advice.
Clean the wooden seat, back and any arms occasionally as needed with mild soap and water and a soft cloth or soft-bristle brush. Remove residue and let the wood dry before folding or storage. We do not recommend applying oils, coatings or any finishing products.
