Add the warm grain of teak to an entryway transition with a mat sized for the available floor. These Grade A teak mats use an elevated, slatted design that lets water pass through and air circulate around the wood. Natural oils contribute to water and decay resistance. Our teak furniture is backed by a 5-Year Warranty.
A compact or longer rectangular footprint: compare the 20-by-14-inch teak mat with the 32-by-14-inch teak mat. Use their listed finished dimensions, including height, to check the intended position.
A broader mat: the 36-by-30-inch mat has a different footprint from the narrower examples. Check that it sits securely without rocking and that doors can open freely.
Need another size? use the standard and custom mat guide or review the measurement instructions on the made-to-size teak mat page. Confirm the intended setting and fit before placing a custom order.
Quick answers for choosing and caring for teak mudroom mats.
Start with the usable floor footprint and door clearance, then compare a compact rectangle, a longer narrow mat or a broader format. A slatted teak mat lets water pass through; it does not absorb water like a textile doormat. Choose by the actual position and listed dimensions rather than assuming the largest mat is best.
Teak’s own oils contribute to water and decay resistance, and the open slats let water drain through. That does not make the floor underneath waterproof. Follow the selected mat’s placement guidance, let the wood and underlying area dry as appropriate, and check that the mat sits securely without rocking.
Measure length and depth at the intended position, finished mat height, door swing and the direction of foot traffic. Leave access to lift the mat for cleaning. Custom orders have their own measurement instructions; follow the linked guide rather than assuming that a standard mat or custom size will fit automatically.
Lift the mat when cleaning is needed so both the top and underside are accessible. Use mild soap and water with a soft-bristle brush, work gently with the grain, rinse away residue and let both sides dry. Clean the underlying floor according to its own care requirements. We do not recommend applying oils, coatings or any finishing products to the teak.
