Plan everyday dining and larger gatherings with solid Grade A teak extension tables. Compare Asia and Foster designs by shape, closed footprint and extended size, and confirm the intended indoor or outdoor setting on the product page. Choose a model labelled as an extension table when you need an expandable surface. Backed by our 5-Year Warranty.
Compare everyday and extended footprints: view the Asia rectangular extension table and Asia oval extension table. Use each product’s closed and extended dimensions to check your layout.
Another rectangular design: compare the Foster rectangular extension table with the Asia options, including its extension movement and chair clearance.
Storage flexibility instead? compare folding tables. Choose a model described as an extension table when you need an expandable surface; a fixed dining table does not extend.
Quick answers for choosing, placing, and caring for a teak extension table.
Start with the closed size for everyday use, then check the extended size for guests and entertaining. Oval and round tables can make movement easier around seating, while rectangular and square tables work well for more structured dining layouts.
Outdoor placement depends on the selected design. Check its intended use before ordering. Slatted teak tabletop styles allow water to drain and the wood to move naturally. Keep any solid-top model approved for covered outdoor use under cover and free of standing water. A table specified for indoor use should remain indoors.
Measure the table both closed and extended, then leave comfortable space for chairs, walking clearance, and the extension movement. Check each product page for the exact closed size, extended size, shape, and seating fit before choosing.
Clean the tabletop and teak frame as needed with mild soap and water, using a soft cloth or soft-bristle brush with the grain. Remove residue and allow it to dry. For models intended for outdoor use, keep standing water off solid tabletops and follow the selected extension table’s placement guidance. We do not recommend applying oils, coatings or any finishing products. Grade A teak heartwood is naturally rich in oils valued for water and decay resistance. Outdoor teak can gradually develop a silver-gray patina; this natural color change is not a defect. If you prefer to refresh the golden tone, clean gently, rinse outdoor-use teak thoroughly and let it dry, then lightly sand with fine 220-grit sandpaper only if needed.
