Quick answers for choosing and caring for teak footrests and footstools.
For shaving or foot care in the shower, compare the corner footrests by slat style and whether you want a lower shelf. For use beside the toilet, compare footstool height, width and a flat or angled top. For sitting in the shower, explore the shower benches and stools.
Yes. Grade A teak is naturally water-resistant and well suited to bath, shower, spa, and humid spaces. Choose pieces that fit the available clearance and allow water to drain or dry between uses. For shower benches or teak pieces used under running water, rinse before first use to remove natural teak dust or residue from storage and shipping.
For a shower corner footrest, measure the available corner space and check clearance around the shower door, faucet and controls. For a toilet footstool, compare the listed height with your toilet seat height and preferred foot position, and check floor space around the toilet base. For a bathtub step, compare its platform size and height with the space beside your tub. Review the selected model’s dimensions before ordering.
Clean shower footrests as needed with mild soap and water and a soft cloth or soft-bristle brush; remove soap residue and allow the teak to dry after wet use. For a footstool used mainly beside the toilet, occasional dusting or wiping is usually sufficient. These Grade A teak pieces retain their own natural oils. We do not recommend applying oils, coatings or any finishing products.
